4. Cookies, Local Storage and Advertising

We use cookies and your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and measure visits to our website. These are necessary for the Services to work properly.

Our website shows advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to our website and other websites. You can turn off personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com), and learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. ALFA News also uses Google News services that may set their own cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Services, such as staying signed in, may stop working.

These providers may only use your data to provide their services to us or as their own privacy policies allow.

6. Where Your Data Is Stored

Our main systems and databases are hosted on servers in India. Some service providers, such as Google and Telegram, may process data on servers outside India, as permitted by applicable law.

7. How Long We Keep It

We keep your personal data while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Services. After you close your account, we delete or anonymise your data when we no longer need it, except where we must keep it longer to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or enforce our agreements.

8. How We Protect It

We use reasonable security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls that limit who can see personal data, and trusted payment and hosting providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects you, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data. Much of it can be edited from your dashboard.
  • Ask us to erase your personal data, subject to what we must keep by law.
