NTPC Limited's subsidiary, NGEL, declared the commercial operation of a 90 MW solar capacity at the Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat. This addition brings NTPC group's total installed capacity to 89,705 MW and commercial capacity to 88,625 MW effective April 25, 2026.

NTPC Capacity Expansion

NTPC Limited announced the capacity uprating of Dadri Thermal Power Station Units 5 and 6 from 490 MW to 500 MW each, effective April 7, 2026. This expansion increases the NTPC group's total installed capacity to 89,128 MW and commercial capacity to 88,048 MW, strengthening its operational footprint in the power sector.
