NHPC Capacity Expansion: ₹26,070 Cr Investment
NHPC Ltd received CCEA approval for a ₹26,069.50 Crore investment in the 1720 MW Kamala Hydro Electric Project in Arunachal Pradesh. The project, implemented via a Joint Venture with the state government, has an estimated 96-month completion period and expects to generate 6870 MUs annually. The central government will provide budgetary support for infrastructure and equity.
